It has become a solidified in our minds, thanks to popular stories and media; –that the idea for the perfect app, the perfect website will just strike you someday.
The moment of Eureka! The moment of the apple falling from the tree.
Most of us will never have such moments.
It doesn’t work like that.
You won’t just come up with the idea of your big project in vacuum.
You will have to start with a crappy idea. Whatever you can think of.
No matter how small it may be, just start.
Keep working on it, get feedback. Create something else –get users –get feedback. And after some time, or maybe on your first try (rare!) you just might get a slice of a big idea.
This will be a small piece of light in your bulb of idea.
A little rough idea.
This is what you have to create and polish to bring about your big idea.
It won’t be obvious, it won’t even seem like it could work. It might not even be original.
But if you know users like it. If you know, there is a space for your idea, you will know it is the right idea.
This won’t happen overnight. It will take time. A lot of time, if you are not exceptionally lucky.
Keep creating, keep iterating, keep thinking.
